Black Ops 2 Interrogated!!

November 8, 2012 by WhoIsDhillon

Well, isn’t this the month for big releases? First Halo, then Black Ops 2 and then HITMAN!! Yeah but this is about Black Ops 2. Anyway once again another Call of Duty game by Treyarch a year after Modern Warfare 3. As always expect big explosions, an epic storyline, and awesome carnage! I’ll be honest with you since I have no idea what was going on half the time so I’ll try and elaborate on the bits I do. The […]

Carlos Serrano remixes!!

October 18, 2012 by WhoIsDhillon

Been a while since I’ve stumbled onto a song worth writing about, and then a load of them pop up at once. All of them are by Carlo Serrano who has been mentioned before for his excellent mish-mash of Phoenix vs Kavinsky (check it out!), and now I’ve found some treasures. They came about while trying to find some remixes of the Chromatics, who were featured on the Drive soundtrack. It’s also worth having a listen to their album as […]

Halo 4 has been leaked!!

October 16, 2012 by WhoIsDhillon

What’s this crazy news?! Halo, one of Microsoft’s biggest games has managed to leak several weeks early, and I’ve managed to get my hands on it? So far they have no idea how it got out, but 343 industries are not really bothered considered people are still going to buy the game on release day. Now onto the game itself, which is definitely a nice to see Master Chief alive and well. Players are easily welcomed into a nostalgic environment […]

Resident Evil 6 Zombification

October 1, 2012 by WhoIsDhillon

I’ve enjoyed the Resident Evil franchise since I played the first one on a mates PSOne. The graphics were crap, the controls odd, and the disc equivalent to changing the tape on an Atari. Those flaws were easily overlooked for the great atmosphere created by the awesome soundtrack and chilling gameplay. Much like the first zombie the game has evolved, bringing a storyline that has certainly expanded from just a haunted mansion. Resident Evil 6 continues with more outbreaks as the world unites over a […]

Borderlands 2

Borderlands 2 Early Play!

September 19, 2012 by WhoIsDhillon

Have you ever played a game that was the same as the last with some minor tweaks? Sometimes this can be a good thing, other times it can be awful. In the case of Borderlands, it works well. If you played the first you know the general idea of the game, where much like Fallout you level up your character, appoint skill points and apply various mods to make him/her better. The major point of the game was the massive choice […]

Wierd Day to Penshaw

September 9, 2012 by WhoIsDhillon

Since it was an awesome day on Saturday, me and some friends headed to Herrington Park to grab some burgers, play some football and grab some ice cream. Two out of those three things happened, and only one of them very well. Surprisingly no where in the area of the park sold footballs! Okay people are expected to have their own, since this is England, full of football crazy lunatics who will riot just for the fun of it, but we failed […]

Tekken Tag 2

Tekken Tag Tournament 2

September 8, 2012 by WhoIsDhillon

Tekken is a game that divides players into 2 categories, those who can play it, and those who button mash it. Namco made a game that has a massive selection of moves and combos for those willing to master everything, and a an easy to use button mash for those who can’t be arsed. I’ve followed the series since Tekken Tag Tournament on the PS2 so luckily I know what I’m doing. The original game was purely made to showcase […]

Recent Outing to Durham Castle

August 29, 2012 by WhoIsDhillon

I got the chance to spend half a day at Durham Castle and take in the breathtaking architecture, which I normally find a bore (bricks are only interesting when going through a window). I’ve spent a few outings at the cathedral before but never knew about the castle on the opposite side of the parking lot, I just always though it was some more parts of the cathedral. Past the gate entrance and into the courtyard you are instantly stunned […]

Day out in Durham and Then Harrogate – Fun Times?

August 4, 2012 by WhoIsDhillon

I got a chance to be part of a training session at Durham Cathedral teaching people how to take better photographs. Since the area is full of great scenery and wildlife, this was a great place to build my skills. Since i was also filming the event I kinda missed out on some pointers ( thankfully I can view the video later) so I only improved a bit, plus I kept on zoning out to play about with my camera. The day […]

Anne Morrison – Hypnotherapist

August 4, 2012 by WhoIsDhillon

Ann Morrison is a Hypnotherapist and Life Coach. She helps people deal with various aspects of their life such as career goals, child birth, dealing personal problems. We created a short video to explain to potential clients what she does, how previous clients have felt, and how she helped them. The video was a fun experience as we got to see her in action, and how different it was from the likes of Derren Brown’s work. Have a look at her site to […]

The Heritage Woodlands and Riverbanks Project

August 4, 2012 by WhoIsDhillon

Short video created for the The Heritage Woodlands and Riverbanks Project to gain interest about the surrounding area. With Julie Gannon Gowland, we took a short tour around the riverbank having a look at some of the famous landmarks such as the Stone Chair, the Counts House and the Pink House. We got a chance to also have a look at the wildlife that inhabits the area such as the various birds that I can’t for the life of me remember the […]

Dark Knight Rises Review

July 23, 2012 by WhoIsDhillon

So here it is, the finale to the trilogy of Batman. We’ve seen him take the mantle as Gotham’s protector, and then falling as he takes the blame for Two Faces crimes so the name of Harvey Dent can live on. We now see him 8 years later, Gotham city has become a better city where the Harvey Dent act keeps all the criminals at bay, and Batman is no longer needed. The film focuses on the character of Bruce […]

Passion Pit - Take a Walk

Passion Pit – Take a Walk Remixes

July 20, 2012 by WhoIsDhillon

Passion Pit is a band I would not have heard of or got into until a mate made me listen to one of their tracks which was Sleepyhead, and that song went on to be my favourite off their 2007 debut EP ‘Chunk of Change’. The song was a catchy mishmash of synth pop with a backing vocal that appealed to my Indian background. After continuous play of the album, that single track went on to rack up a hefty play count. Now they […]

Hugs&Drugs Remixes

July 20, 2012 by WhoIsDhillon

I recently came across a new genre of remixes called drumstep simply because the words “Justice” and “D.A.N.C.E.” were involved. That’s enough to get me interested since the French electro duo are awesome enough, so seeing how they could be improved was too tempting. Hugs&Drugs is John L from Southern California (check out the site), and what he has created here is something that takes the original track and mixes it up  enough to make it different, but not so much that it losses […]

Setting up for iCan

iCan Shoot

July 19, 2012 by WhoIsDhillon

A few weeks ago I had the chance to film the iCan seminar taking place at Jesmond Dene House. The seminar was to help business offer great customer service before, during and especially after dealing with customers. As a lot of companies are happy to work very hard to acquire new customers, they don’t really follow-up with a great after sales service. This helps the customer feel more important to the company for life, and not just for the day […]

Santigold – L.E.S. Artistes (Brummer Remix)

June 25, 2012 by WhoIsDhillon

I have no idea how I missed this remix, but thankfully I stumbled onto it this morning resulting in it being on all day. Santigold was an artist I listened to back in college after hearing her song ‘Creator’ featured during the Alberto Vo5 hair commercial. The odd genre bending style mixing fast rap over synth beats was enough to make it sound amazingly fresh and awesome. It pretty much resulted in her being constantly on repeat in the car […]

Olympic Torch in Newcastle

June 17, 2012 by WhoIsDhillon

So the Olympic Torch made its way through Newcastle on a rainy Friday. Since I was at work I missed out on it passing though, but I’m pretty sure the rain would have made it more into an Olympic stick and not a torch. Anyway I grabbed some pictures a few days before hand in preparation for it, glad I did since the weather was amazing in comparison! Enjoy and don’t forget to check the larger versions on my flickr […]

High For This (PatrickReza Dubstep Remix) – Ellie Goulding

May 31, 2012 by WhoIsDhillon

Hot on the release of Ellie Goulding’s cover of the The Weekend’s High For This, PatrickReza has added his own spin on the track. Whereas Ellie’s cover is more relaxed, taking an almost dark electro vibe to a song about taking codeine, PatrickRezas is more uptempo. The bass builds up the drops sharp, with vocals chopped and distorted to what sounds like an old 8 bit NES. I gotta say I love the 8 bit mixing with the drumb and […]

Day trip out to grab some pictures.

May 28, 2012 by WhoIsDhillon

While waiting for the HMS Ocean parade to start I quickly grabbed some pictures of the wildlife to get accustomed to the cameras settings. I figured why not mix it up a little with some shots of ducks relaxing on the hot day, to the water fountain which looked so appealing on the day. I got a chance to play about with the shutter speed to grab sharp images of the birds, while slowing it down to make the fountains […]

HMS Ocean Parade

May 28, 2012 by WhoIsDhillon

I decided to take a day trip out on Saturday to check out the parade in honour of the crew from the HMS Ocean docked in Sunderland. It was a beautiful day and gave me the chance to try out my new Nikon D3200 with a recently acquired Tamron lens. Since I was just getting started with camera I wasnt expecting to get very many good shots, but thankfully the camera and the lens meant I easily got to grips […]
