So the Olympic Torch made its way through Newcastle on a rainy Friday. Since I was at work I missed out on it passing though, but I’m pretty sure the rain would have made it more into an Olympic stick and not a torch. Anyway I grabbed some pictures a few days before hand in preparation for it, glad I did since the weather was amazing in comparison!
Enjoy and don’t forget to check the larger versions on my flickr feed!
The sun glaring out from behind the clouds, had to have a few attempts at getting the flare just right!
As I was driving home from work, the sun setting looked amazing of the nearby industrial works. Kinda like a post apocalyptic scene.

Tyne Bridge from the Sage car park.
Such a beautiful day to grab a shot of the River Tyne’s main attractions from the Sage.
A straight on shot of the Tyne bridge from the Millennium bridge.
While grabbing some pictures of the Tyne Bridge with the Olympic logo, I quickly took one of the sun at an interesting angle while on the Millennium Bridge. I wanted something that could show them both in a different way.
