I decided to take a day trip out on Saturday to check out the parade in honour of the crew from the HMS Ocean docked in Sunderland. It was a beautiful day and gave me the chance to try out my new Nikon D3200 with a recently acquired Tamron lens.
Since I was just getting started with camera I wasnt expecting to get very many good shots, but thankfully the camera and the lens meant I easily got to grips with it.
The 18-270mm lens meant I could capture a range of shots from any location, which resulted in crisp and clear shots.
The parade was a great spectacle to see, the crew all dressed sharply, representing the discipline they had learnt from their service in the Navy, while still being friendly and chatting with the crowds that had come to see them. It was a great day that was thoroughly enjoyed by all.
Check out my flickr page for the rest of the shots!
