Hot on the release of Ellie Goulding’s cover of the The Weekend’s High For This, PatrickReza has added his own spin on the track. Whereas Ellie’s cover is more relaxed, taking an almost dark electro vibe to a song about taking codeine, PatrickRezas is more uptempo.

The bass builds up the drops sharp, with vocals chopped and distorted to what sounds like an old 8 bit NES. I gotta say I love the 8 bit mixing with the drumb and bass, and makes me want to find some mash ups of Crystal Castles work.

Ellie Goulding’s vocals still remain haunting but fit into this remix very well, it’ll be great to see how other people give us their take on the song!
