Personal Statement

Clear, logical minded with a practical approach to problem solving and driven to see objectives through to completion. Excellent communication skills developed while working in various customer service roles.

During my degree course I successfully combined my studies with work and other commitments. By achieving this I demonstrated myself to be self-motivated, organised and capable of working under pressure. Completed all assignments on time to the best of my ability, making sure they were accurate and correct. Attended all lectures and arrived on time.

Further improved my skills while working at Quantum Warrior Software where I enjoyed working on my own initiative and also as part of a team. I was seen as a reliable, trustworthy, hardworking and meticulous person. While working in the professional environment I was able to adapt to the new setting quickly and also learnt new skills easily.

Work Experience

Ideal Photos – Videographer and Editor [March 2012 – Present]

Creating professional videos to be used to remember a personal event, or corporate video. Handling production from filming footage, to editing, post processing and then final product, while working in busy environments with a multitude of clients.

Currys Digital – Sales Assistant [October 2011 – November 2012]

Currently a sales assistant at Currys, providing a friendly personality with helpful knowledge of a range of products helping customers find exactly what they are looking for. I am polite and punctual, and constantly achieving a range of sales targets by using my ability to overcome objections and cater the benefits of the product to the customer.

Micro-Serv – Technology Repair Specialist [May 2011 – October 2011]

Taken on as a trainee, I quickly learnt how to diagnose and repair large business printers, as well as thermal printer used across the professional sector.

Quantum Warrior Software –Multimedia Designer [August 2010 – February 2011]

Originally started as an intern at Quantum Warrior Software, and achieved a new job at the end. Working there improved my video production, as well as teaching me new roles such as web designer and software tester.

Hobbies and Interests

I have been developing my passion for film production and photography since university and have captured and edited several short corporate videos, as well as longer intimate events. My enthusiasm for working with cameras and special effects has been my drive for this, as well as working with friends on our own mini projects.

In addition to the above I also enjoy spending my time reading action anthologies by Wilbur Smith, Jack Higgins as well as comedies by Douglas Coupland. I take pleasure in visiting cinemas, restaurants and socializing with my peers.
